THE NAME OF JESUS

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11).

The Name of Jesus is the Name above all names; in that Name is vested all authority in heaven, in earth and the regions of the damned. In that Name, you can alter unfavorable economic situations to your advantage, and effect positive changes in your nation of residence.

God has highly exalted and given Jesus a Name, which is above every name; such that by the instrumentality of His Name, you can change anything, and achieve anything! The Name of Jesus has efficacy by the very mention of it.

When you make decrees in His Name, about your physical body, finances, family, the economic situation, etc., the Name of Jesus seals it. If a Christian were diagnosed with cancer for example, he doesn’t need to see it as a death sentence. He can use the Name of Jesus to destroy the cancer. What he needs is to place his hand where the tumour or growth is and say, "in the Name of Jesus, cancer, I command you to die and pass out of my body."

Use the Name of Jesus fearlessly and without doubt. Remember, demons, principalities and powers of darkness cannot resist the authority of that Name. When fear attacks you, use the Name; say, "In the Name of Jesus, I rebuke fear; I refuse to fear!"

No matter the challenges you’re faced with, don’t panic or cry; say, "I command a change in the Name of Jesus," and it shall be so. O, the power of His Name and the victory and dominion we have in Him! If you’re in any predicament today, use the Name of Jesus as an instrument. Declare that in His Name, you have the wisdom to do excellently in every situation. Live victoriously every day—in His Name.

                                                          CONFESSION

I live by the dominion of Christ, and power of the Spirit today, and declare that I’m prospering in all my endeavours because I live in the Name of Jesus: the Name above every name. I live triumphantly in all circumstances of life. Blessed be God!

Philippians 2:9-11

New Life Version (NLV)

9 Because of this, God lifted Jesus high above everything else. He gave Him a name that is greater than any other name. 10 So when the name of Jesus is spoken, everyone in heaven and on earth and under the earth will bow down before Him. 11 And every tongue will say Jesus Christ is Lord. Everyone will give honor to God the Father.

Acts 3:16

New Life Version (NLV)
16 You see and know this man here. He has been made strong through faith in Jesus’ name. Yes, it is faith in Christ that has made this man well and strong. This man is standing here in front of you all.

THE SPIRIT IN YOU!

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness (Romans 8:10).

In the verse above, the Apostle Paul wasn’t questioning whether Christ was in the brethren in Rome; rather, he stirred their minds to an important reality: He wanted them to know that the Healer lived within them. He said if Christ (the Healer) is in you, though your body may be weak and sickly, He’ll vitalize it; therefore, refuse to be sick.

Paul’s conclusion, upon meditating on our transcendent life in Christ, is that when you have the Holy Spirit, you shouldn’t be sick, because your body is vitalized by the same Spirit. "Now if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (vitalize, make alive) your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you" (Romans 8:11). The work of the Holy Spirit in vitalizing your physical body is in the "now"; it’s not something that’ll happen when we get to Heaven; He’s working in you now! Glory to God!

The Spirit that lives in you is where the power is: His presence in you has settled the matter of sickness and weakness forever, for He "perambulates" in you, to "fix" any anomalies in your physical body. If sickness "attacks" your body, you have nothing to fear or worry about; the Holy Spirit—the Healer—lives in you! His life in you makes you unconquerable. He’s the One who made Jesus the Healer, and had enough power to raise Him back to life; and now, He lives in you.

Perhaps, you’ve been a Christian, and your physical body has been so ravaged, messed up, destroyed, or battered by sickness or disease; what you need is the consciousness of the indwelling Healer—the Spirit of God in you. Christ in you, is your hope of healing and health. Halleluiah.

                                                             CONFESSION

The Holy Spirit—the Healer—lives in me, therefore, I’m not susceptible to infirmity. The life of God in me makes every fibre of my being: my cells, tissues, organs, and systems, impregnable to disease
1 John 5:11-12

New Life Version (NLV)
11 This is the word He spoke: God gave us life that lasts forever, and this life is in His Son. 12 He that has the Son has life. He that does not have the Son of God does not have life.

1 Peter 2:24
New Life Version (NLV)
24 He carried our sins in His own body when He died on a cross. In doing this, we may be dead to sin and alive to all that is right and good. His wounds have healed you!

Luke 10:19
New Life Version (NLV)
19 Listen! I have given you power to walk on snakes. I have given you power over small animals with a sting of poison. I have given you power over all the power of the one who works against you. Nothing will hurt you.

A LIFE OF POWER!

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8).

As Christians, we’re not ordinary people; we have a supernatural life of power. You received this extraordinary power when the Holy Spirit came into your life. The Lord Jesus said in our opening verse, "…ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…." What kind of power was He talking about, and what can we do with it?

The word "power" in this verse is translated from "dunamis" (Greek), and it means dynamic power or ability to cause or effect a change. It refers to miracle-working ability; the ability to make supernatural things happen; power and ability that are beyond yourself! It refers to what we call a "doing-power," or "working-power"; it’s sometimes translated, "might." It also means the power of excellence; the extraordinary ability to be efficient and effective in all that you do. This is the life we have in Christ—a life of super-productivity and ever-increasing glory!

We’re never to be victims in life. If you’ve found yourself in a predicament, a precarious or desperate situation, don’t cower; don’t give up! There’s something in you: the life and power of the Spirit to effect changes. You can change any unfavorable situation with this power in you. This is Christianity; it’s a life of dominion. You don’t need to go from place to place looking for help and seeking power, because the power to effect the changes you desire, lies within you.

                                                                         PRAYER

Precious Holy Spirit, I appreciate you, and acknowledge your awesome power, presence and grace in my life! I’m confident of a greater tomorrow, and a day-to-day life of ever-increasing glory because you’re the one taking me by the hand, and leading me to fulfill God’s perfect will for me. Thank you for perfecting all that concerns me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

BE IMITATOR OF CHRIST!

THEREFORE BE imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father] (Ephesians 5:1 AMP).

There’re those who define Christianity as the imitation of Christ; this isn’t quite accurate. Christianity is the revelation of Christ in you. For example, a house has a kitchen, but the kitchen isn’t the house. In Christianity, there’s the imitation of Christ; but Christianity, essentially, isn’t the imitation of Christ.

Many people have never really understood true Christianity; hence, they tell everyone to imitate Christ. However, the message to imitate Christ isn’t for everyone, but for those in whom is the life and nature of God. You couldn’t imitate Christ except you have His life in you. How really are we supposed to imitate Christ? Are we supposed to go to the Cross and die as He did? Did He say that everything He did, we must do? Are we to go to the wilderness and fast for forty days and forty nights, as He did? Is it by copying His mannerisms, dressing, tone of voice etc.? Certainly not; but, we can study about Him in the Word; we can see Him in the Word and follow His examples.

1 Peter 2:21-23, lets us know some of the areas we can imitate Him. It says, "For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that Judgeth righteously." We’re to emulate His life of righteousness, wholesome communication, nature of forgiveness, kindness, humility, and love.

The summation of His character is love; we’re to therefore emulate Him by walking in love. Ephesians 5: 2 AMP admonishes us to "… walk in love, [esteeming and delighting in one another] as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a slain offering and sacrifice to God [for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance." 1 John 4:7-8 says, "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love."

                                                                          PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for filling my heart with the revelation of your Word, and the wisdom to do your will. As I apply my heart to your Word, Christ is formed in me, and His character of love and nature of righteousness are revealed through me day by day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

1 John 4:7-9
New Life Version (NLV)
Loving God Makes Us Love Our Christian Brothers
7 Dear friends, let us love each other, because love comes from God. Those who love are God’s children and they know God.8 Those who do not love do not know God because God is love. 9 God has shown His love to us by sending His only Son into the world. God did this so we might have life through Christ.

1 John 4:7-9
Amplified Bible (AMP)
7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is (springs) from God; and he who loves [his fellowmen] is begotten (born) of God and is coming [progressively] to know and understand God [to perceive and recognize and get a better and clearer knowledge of Him].
8 He who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love.
9 In this the love of God was made manifest (displayed) where we are concerned: in that God sent His Son, the only begotten or [a]unique [Son], into the world so that we might live through Him.

GROWING YOUR FAITH!

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3).

God has given to each one of us—everyone who believes in Jesus—the measure of faith. That’s significant because each of us was given the same definite measure of faith when we received the message of salvation to be born again. However, one thing God expects of you is to grow your faith. Faith is the principle of the Christian walk (2 Corinthians 5:7). The Bible clearly emphasizes that without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrew 11:6).

God, through His Word, has clearly revealed to us how to grow strong and effectual faith. First, you have to stay continually in the Word; the Word stirs faith in your spirit: "...faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God" (Romans 10:17).

Secondly, your faith can also be built grow as you consistently attend Church services and fellowship with other believers. Hebrews 10:25 charges us not to forsake "...the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." In Church, you’re taught the Word, and you also enjoy the rich fellowship of the Spirit in a way that energizes your faith.

Thirdly, cultivate a rich fellowship with the Holy Spirit in prayer, by speaking in other tongues frequently: "But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost" (Jude 1:20). Prayer conditions your spirit rightly to receive from God. When your spirit is so conditioned, it becomes easy for the Word to get in and produce results.

Finally, get rich Christian materials and study them for yourself (2 Timothy 2:15); be a student of the Word. Don’t just be "a hearer," but "a doer of the Word"; you build prevailing faith by consistently meditating on, and putting the Word to work in your life.

                                                              PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for your Word that inspires faith in me. Every challenging situation is an opportunity for me to put my faith to work, and have the vital experience of my victorious life in Christ. I declare that today, my faith is strengthened; and I’m growing in grace and in the knowledge of the Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

2 Timothy 2:15
New Life Version (NLV)

New Life Version (NLV)
7 Our life is lived by faith. We do not live by what we see in front of us.
